To provide a voluntary association through which the needs, views and concerns of its members can be expressed from time to time.
To hold regular meetings with its members to discuss matters of common interest to the
management and execution of teaching, learning and research in the Humanities at South Africa’s universities.
To express the views of its members, after due consultation, when requested or at its own
initiative, on matters of concern or interest to Humanities education at public universities.
