Prof Pholoho Morojele
College of Humanities Dean of Research Professor Pholoho J Morojele Pholoho is an associate Professor in the College of Humanities: School of Education. Morojele was awarded Prolific Researcher recognition at University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2012, and maintained this status throughout his academic career, appeared in the top 30 most published researchers and received numerous awards based on his excellent research publication and supervision record. He is a Commonwealth scholar and studied as part of his PhD at the Institute of Education, University of London. He has published more than 40 articles and supervised more than 25 postgraduate students during his academic career. Morojele is a member of numerous international bodies, research projects and has attended many conferences where he presented various papers including keynote addresses. Professor Morojele was born, grew up and schooled in rural Lesotho schools. His research interests and publications are in gender, children’s geographies and social justice in education. Professor Morojele’s astute leadership and academic achievements are recognized amongst his peers and through his rich experience was appointed as Academic Leader: Research & Higher Degrees in the School of Education 2013-2015, and subsequently as the Dean of Research in the College of Humanities and Chair of the UKZN Institutional Forum.
